Laura Kate and Hudson have been best buds since they were born!
There were roaring lions, strong men, trained seals, monkeys, clowns, tight rope walkers and of course some adorable acrobats! This circus group got a standing ovation and did a great song as their encore. Special pats on the back must go to teachers Ms. Carr and Ms. Holmes and the other staff members that made this such a special day.

You have got SUPERB models, and taken some pretty shots that both have nice colors and lights
....no s at the end I guess.
Sorry about that... Have a nice weekend!
these are so precious, they make me teary-eyed. Thanks, V.
deux portraits magnifiques, et en plus la lumiere est si douce sur leurs visages, bravo
Sweet, sweet portraits. Does little Kate Hudson know she has an adult actress namesake? :)
What cute, cute kids!
Who wouldn't smile upon seeing these sweet little ones?
Children make my heart glad that I'm alive! These models are special, and the colours really catch one's eye.
Lovely backlighting. Great looking kids, too
What a bunch of cuties! And thank goodness for your "connections" because I think, for some reason, it was important to you to see Laura Kate in action!
I'll bet the place was filled with proud parents and even prouder grandparents.
The "roaring lions" bother me a little bit. I like purring kittens better!
You are great with children.
Wonderful photos.
Oh those faces are so fabulously kissable! I am having curl envy!
Fine looking animals today. You've handled the strong backlight very nicely, too.
BTW, gelato is on me next time you visit Seattle. For now though you'll just have to be happy with your virtual taste -:)
The light on that top photo is just amazing. Where was it coming from? It gives an amazing glow to both faces!
Too bad you didn't get the whole lion's mane but it probably would have unbalanced the photo. You wanted to focus on the children's faces and you were right - they are wonderful.
Virginia, queen of children's portraits!
I'm with Chuck that backlight is amazing through those curls. Can be quite harsh but you've tamed the beast. Always say people your forte. Love photographing kids, they are so natural, react not act up to the camera.
I'm a little Awol my b'day duties. I am saving the Paris blog to veiw in depth one evening with a bottle of red and stale baguette.
B,
HAR. Well when you crack open that bottle and read my blog .....SALUT! Stale baguette. I hear ya. It's hard to find a great one when you leave.

Nathalie,
I thought about you when I cropped that mane. Wanted to lessen the glare from the window though.
Merci for your kudos. They mean a lot.
Chuck,
I fought the backlight. That's why my little clown is grainy. Had to lighten her up. I get get that no matter what I do . I've tried metering for the dark and then the light and it's the same! grrrrrr as the lion would say! :)
I love these. I fondly remember my days as a student at AEK. These pictures brought back wonderful memories.
Elin, how wonderful to hear from you! I'm pleased these photos brought back some nice memories of AEK!!

Super cute! especially the first photo!!
Bon weekend, V!
They are so gorgeous!!
These are both wonderful, but that second one just made me melt.
Such lovely lighting on these delightful performers. Beautiful shots of them, V.

The light. Wow. Beautiful shots.
I'm with Nathalie. Have to say tho I'm in love with the second photo. Just adore it, the light on the hair and her expression. Wonderful shot.
Ditto, ditto, ditto!!!
C'est magnifique!!!
You are an awesome photographer of children...you capture the essence of their innocence!!!
Nice, V. The clown photo is very intriguing.
