Red Tomatoes in a Blue Box

Well if these doesn't make your mouth water, nothing will.  Homegrown  Alabama tomatoes are the fruit of summer.  Actually I picked this photo just so I could include the tune du jour - "Hang on Little Tomato" by Pink Martini.  My thanks to Dusty Lens for introducing me to this group.  I am a shameless copycat.

Just sharing the joy! Funny thing, I too have mimmiced this color pattern for that tune. Love the blue shades with red. And last niht was cherry tomatoes, more later.

Love fresh tomatoes. . .. Our farmers' market gets ours from Alabama this time of year. My TN favorites are Heirloom and Bradleys. YUM

Sorry for this cut-and-paste, but I wanted to let you know I visited today. Being away from home while at school for 10 days has put me way behind here, and trying to catch up here has put me way behind on what is already coming due for school, and it's a vicious circle some days. :-)

Oh, my mouth just watered! I could eat them ALL. Lovely photo and a cool tune too!

The tomatoes are definitely luscious-looking! They are truly the fruits of summer. Good photo!

Oooooh, so gorgeous! (And no salmonella!)

I really enjoy your blog. I, too, share the love of Bresson's idea that photographs are instant drawings. You really "draw" a lovely and interesting portrait of Birmingham!

Cheers,
Laurie

Who said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery? I do it whenever possible. Better to call it "artistic influence" than "copycat." Anyway, this 'bama summer fruit is bursting, looking like it will explode.

Sorry for the irregular comments this week - exploring new dimensions in overwork.

Mmm, these look delicious! I'm waiting for my mom's tomatoes to ripen so I can get my fix. And I love Pink Martini, and "Hang On" is one of their best songs! I hope you like all the songs they do in French!

Best looking tomatoes I've seen all summer.

These look like the sort of tomatoes that you can just pick up and eat right away. Great image.

les deux couleurs se marient bien ensemble. Par ce temps si chaud, une bonne salade de tomate, humm...

the two colors marry well together. By this time so hot, a good tomato salad, humm ...

Maybe in a month I'll have some of those delicious looking tomatoes on my vines. Mine are still in the tiny green stage. We've had a pretty cool summer so far.
