Virginia this is a delightful photo! The boy looks so calm, but you know there's a lot racing around in his head about what's to come. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends. I bet that instead of dreaming of sugarplums, you'll be dreaming of caramel macarons from Paris!

What a lovely photograph for Christmas Eve - goodness, for anytime.

Wishing you a very happy Christmas, Virgina.

Oh, how I remember sitting by the fireplace on Christmas Eve as a little girl ... fretting that Santa would get burned when he landed on it later. The physics of Christmas always had my brain twisted up tight on those long nights!

Beautiful shot, V.

Excellent song choice, VJ. After Silent Night, Breath of Heaven is one of my favorite Christmas songs.

And, of course, another beautiful photo!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

When I was four, I noticed the Santa who visited our house and doled out presents wore the same watch as my dad. Hmmm. Didn't tell anyone, though. Was afraid that might end the gravy train. Joyeux Noel Virg.

What happened to the days when there would always be a local TV station that broadcast an image of a burning fireplace non-stop on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? I actually have fond memories of that from my childhood, even when it was in black and white. You would think that now that we have a squillion cable channels someone would do it but I guess it's passé.

Sorry if my post today is a bit obscure. I added an explanation of sorts in the comments.
