After Hours

Well I'm back for a few days, and then I'm turning my blog over to another guest photographer.
I hope you have enjoyed the "change of scenery " while I'm in Paris!

This is Treadwell's Barber Shop in Mountain Brook Village. They've been here as long as I can remember. (any Bham viewers know HOW long??). It was after hours and I took this through the window. Looks calm but during the day this place does a booming business.

Very cool feel to this picture. I love old barbershops, infact I just posted one yesterday on my Newtown blog. Do you know what the barber pole stands for? :-)

I can just imagine all the gossip that gets repeated there . When my son was small, I would take him to a barber for his haircuts and they had everyone one's pedigree - and everything else. Without coming right out and saying it!

Oh fantastic. I hope this doesn't change in the coming 100 years! Your photos of Paris btw are superb!

I've always wanted to go in and shoot in a "true, old fashioned" barbershop - excellent shot.

Love this shot. Something fascinting about barber's shops and it's not because of the one in Seville! Now over to Paris...

A classic Barbers Shop. Great choice for B&W. Love it!

You can tell from this shot that it must be active during the day. Nice shot!
