This bicycle-like vehicle is hanging on the wall outside of Trey Taylor's art studio in Avondale.
For some reason it makes me laugh every time I pass it!
Now this motorcycle, I'm told it's an Indian, is a lesson in "Don't Drink and Drive" . It's over the front door of the bar at The Garage.

I love that sculpture at Avondale too. So much goodness to photograph in the park - especially in the fall.
Interesting juxtaposition!
la bicyclette est originale, j'aime beaucoup, on dirait une œuvre d'art
the bike is original, I like very much, they would say a work of art
I like both these bikes for very different reasons... I'd love to roar off on the Indian.. :O)
The bicycle-appearing thing is funny - no wonder you laugh. I like the motorcycle, too.
And it's so nice to have you back in town!
And I'm so jealous of your Parisian adventures. I'm just kidding, of course. I'm actually very happy that you got to go back and experience that wonderful city again!
The first one is a nice bit of whimsy, since none of the parts except the seat actually come from a bicycle. As for the second one, you can't think and drive motorcycles. They are tools for self-destruction.
have you seen Anthony Hopkins movie about the Indian motorcycle? It's great.
Yes, Ken Mac is right! The movie is The Fastest Indian. I love it, and not just because of Anthony Hopkins...it is a really a great and TRUE story!
I like the "bicycle thing"...and that Indian is a classic.
BTW ...weren't there some really strange tourists at the Whistle Stop Cafe today ?!!! {chuckles}
Really like that first photo.
Firelight,
Tune in tomorrow. You might see some photos that look familiar! :)
Quite the bicycle, must be difficult to navigate. Not gonna' drink and drive, just sit in an easy chair.
Great way to recycle...
Is there something the water? This is the second CDP this week to feature hanging bikes. Jilly did too. If only we had this off the wall humour here.
Liked the bikes.. the first one looks like a piece of modern art... :-D
