I have lived in Birmingham most of my life. I think it's a beautiful, friendly, and interesting place to live. I hope that my daily photographs portray the diversity of my hometown in a positive and artistic way.
I am a former elementary school teacher, a full-time photographer, part-time painter, lover of all things French ( whose français is slowly improving), obsessive Paris traveler, enthusiastic art museum volunteer, grateful community volunteer, and grandmother to 5 delightful grandchildren.

Very nice, and black and white really adds something special to this picture.
love the lighting of or on the clouds. splendid contrast between the geometric black and the free-flowing sky.
Something's brewing over this way, too, for Sunday, so they say.
I like the composition and the b/w tones.
Lovely contrasts. I was able to capture a storm through a big window yesterday.
I wish you a happy rain and a happy weekend!
it's looking good today! hope you stay dry
Hi Virginia, great mono shot, you have captured the mood. See Ya...
Love this photo!!! Black and white really sets the mood!!!
Awesome! I've been hiding inside instead of taking pictures!
Classic shot, hard vs. soft lines. Wow.
No storms coming our way yet. The heat wave is still upon us. Maybe tomorrow?
Perfection in monochrome! Did you make this with a 50mm lens?
SNap, I don't think so. The "challenge" hasn't started just yet. It's coming though, I PROMISE! HA
Nicely done! I like the play of light and dark and crossing lines!
