Apparently while I was running loose in Paris this summer, the spiders were spinning out of control - right here on my window ledges. Someone needs a good window washer! This photo is proof positive that the late afternoon light can make anything look good.

It sure can make things look good enough to take a picture. Even in the days of expensive film processing. LOL
I have the issue of "breast feeding" on my main blog today Pick a Peck of Pixels
Wow! You weren't gone *that* long!
This spider has quite a talent and chose the right spot for onlookers!
Oh yes! Utterly fabulous. Too right Abraham. Virginia can make a painting from anything. Actually this reminds me of when I lived in Tasmania. We lived in a wooden home with a vaulted ceiling - very high - and so of course it was impossible to get up there and clear the spiders' webs. One year a friend arrived, looked up and said 'how clever of you to leave up the Christmas decorations.'
composition is good...
Great picture!
Docked on the Tennessee River, our boat gets lots of spiders too. During the fall mornings, the webs actually looks pretty, and eerie. I'll remember to take pictures of that scene.
:) the gold light does make this almost ethereal. Spiders have been going crazy here too.
Never mind, I like spiders! ;-))And they are outside. And I'm pretty sure it is not your bedroom window!
Well, it kinda makes your place look like a haunted house. So that's what you get from for playing around in France when you could have been spending your whole summer in Alabama. Wonder what creepy things I'll find in my house when I get home from Asia.
If you can't fight 'em, join 'em...or this is like making lemonade out of lemons, or ... nah, that's enough.
A good photograph derives from an opportune moment.
Kudos to you, opportunist! ;-)
Jacob,
Maybe I just need to stay home and take care of business!!ha
B,
yeah, you need to worry a little about what happens in
The Lou while you and Carolyn are galavanting around Nepal!!!
Alice,
No, my kitchen window that gets some mighty fine afternoon sun.
Jilly,
You lived in Tasmania? I taught with a young man from there a few years ago.
Abe,
I'm on my way over to see about that breastfeeding THANG!
Yep, it's all about the light.
Helps to have a good photographer, V.
I've just been pooting around your website. Wow. Wonderful.
You even make the need for cleaning look good! Great photo :)
I like this one.
This really is a beautiful study of late afternoon light...and I am always fascinated by a spider's web.
I do like the light filtering through. Really catches those silken threads.
