Waiting Impatiently......in Paris

Today a nod to my blog friend Daryl, who from time to time features tethered pups out and about in New York City. She calls her series, "Waiting Impatiently". Today a Golden I spotted in the snow on Saturday. You don't see many Goldens in Paris. A good thing I think. Big dogs need a yard!

I'd be willing to guess this post was originally intended for tethering horses. This guy is almost that big, too -:)

I'm not sure he likes being attached like that. Funny, though, that case seems to feature bones. Is it a doggie parking meter? Put in a Milk Bone and you can park?

I've seen the same thing at Five Points South in Birmingham. Waiting while the master shops or eats.

Dogs can give us a lesson in patience. I often watch those that wait for their owners outside a local cafe. Cannot understand why we have such rigid rules about animals inside stores. I'm surprised that this one was left outside since France seems far more relaxed about including animals.

Kristin Espinasse's "French Word A Day" often shows her two goldens, but she's in Provence, not Paris...

I usually saw small dogs in Paris. I love the pugs the best. I had a Golden so I always stop to smooch them!

What a handsome pup, clearly ready for his close up, Ms DeMille .. thanks for the nod... he is a lot younger than most of the Goldens I see/snap in NYC
