2 THINGS CHALLENGE: Church/Lady

My "Church Lady" is this beautiful angel who keeps watch over the children in our Day School and Sunday School classes at my church, Independent Presbyterian.   A  very special guardian angel for our tiny ones.

When I was in the choir many years ago we sang Panis Angelicus at weddings and I still remember some of the words...even though I easily forget more essential stuff!

En France, nous disons :
"Les Anges n'ont pas de sexe"...

Angels are not man and not woman !

Excellent choices, Virginia! "Panis Angelicus" is a perfect accompanyment to this angel!

At iTunes, you can download a superb "Ave Maria" based on the "intermezzo" from "Cavelleria Rusticana" sung by Plàcido Domingo and a Swedish soprano. Well worth the 99¢! ;-)

Donald Taccone said he'd like to meet you - cruise by and introduce yourself, even if you don't need any work done. He's a great guy, and I'm sure he'd be happy to show you some of his Packards.

The modernity of that diagonal line juxtaposed against the classical sculpture... pure eye candy!

Nicely composed, Virginia!

Oui Web, but then I wouldn't have had an entry for Church/Lady, so we will just have to go with female angels for today anyway.

Louis, I will zip by Donld's place of business. Someone that works on cars is always a person i want to befriend.

This post adds to the elegance of what is already a very elegant blog, Virginia. Understatement is such a wonderful attribute.

I belong to a choir and our repertoire currently includes "Panis Angelicus" arranged by our concert master to harmonise specially. Very moving to perform.

Julie,
Would have loved to have had your choir on my Deezer to day instead. I would like to hear you version.

Oh and Louis, I need "work done" but unless your friend Donald is a plasic surgeon on the side I'm afraid he won't be able to help me!:)

Until now I don't believe too much in angels, but I admit it would be nice if we all had one!

Just wanted to tell you we both posted angel statues and magnolias on our blogs this week. And we have the same background color.

(Found your site from the Greenwich Village blog.)

May the angels watch over the people in the Gulf states.

One of my best friends' family left New Orleans and are now in Covington, LA. Last I heard, they don't have electricity and can't go back home until Wednesday, at the earliest.
