A Peaceful Place

The courtyard at the Cathedral Church of the Advent is a beautiful and serene spot in the heart of downtown Birmingham.  The church sanctuary is exquisite, but the gardens and courtyards are equally as lovely and draw me back time and again to make photographs.

Sorry about the technical difficulties today. I was out of town, and apparently had a small glitch.

Look at that lush, green, Southern garden. So pretty. I really like the urn thingie in the foreground.

Gardens are irresistible because they are so full of beauty and nature. Restful, too.

This is a beautiful area. Downtown Brimignham England most definitely does not look like this.

There's a nice balance here between the urn and the statue. It gives me a feeling of gentleness.

By the way, I'm taking your suggestion for Monday's post, if I understood your note correctly.

Beautiful photo! I love all the different shades of green; very soothing. Great details on the urn too.

Very tranquil atmosphere! I love that 'pot'!

Your comment made me smile, Virginia! Unfortunatelly I didn't have my camera with me, so no picture of the 'ballons'... :-)
