SKY WATCH FRIDAY - City Reflection

I thought this would make a great Sky Watch entry since the clouds are reflected in the the AmSouth Harbert Plaza in downtown Birmingham.

For the list of participants for this week's Sky Watch Friday go to Sky Watch Friday on the sidebar.

I'm off to the lake for a few days.  Have a great weekend everyone !

Tune du Jour: Van Morrison will keep you company here while I'm gone.

The reflection is indeed fascinating and the perspective is great. Hurts my neck, tho!

The sky encased in glass windows is always a fascinating view; to me, it is.

Good morning, Virginia. This is wonderful. I love feflective photos and this one makes me feel like I'm right there. I'll add the Harbert to my list of things to see in B-ham. You're my virtual tour guide.

you've proven that these glass skyscrapers are quite beautiful.

PJ,
The Summit CLub atop the Harbert Center is a private club and has a spectacular view of the city. Great food and on THursdays - home cooking southern style. Whoooeeee!
Kate, I had to brace myself on my car to take this shot. I got a little woozy too.

Stunning reflection, esp when viewed enlarged. I like the entry arch like an arrow pointing up & then at top pointing up some more. That Van Morrison song is one of my favorites. On the window in Tacoma, I stained glass flowers are attached to the window. Have a lovely time on the lake.

craquant in english is irresistible.

Two of my favorites: sky and architecture! Beautiful.

We'll miss you while you are away.

Wow! Now my neck is painful!
About the translation you asked for, you can say someone is "craquant" when he is irresistible, someone you can't say no, and I guess if these blue eyes ask "Please Grandma*...?", it's hard to say no, am I right?
* How do your grandchildren call you?
Enjoy your days off to the lake!

Great angle - conveys the enormity of the building as well as the reflection. A big sky needs a big reflection.
have a great weekend!

Did not know you had such tall buildings down there :)

The tallest man made thing in Delta is the grain silo!

Awesome interpretation of the theme.

Have a great time at the lake.

That building rises like the spire of a gothic cathedral reaching for the sky. Is it a temple to Mammon?
Whatever it is, it gives great structural content to your skywatch photo.
