Just Singin'...Just Great!!

I don't know what you did on Wednesday night but I'll just bet I had more fun.  A group that I belong to had dinner at Birmingham's The Club.  Great friends, great food, great view of the entire city of Birmingham and GREAT entertainment!  Meet Just Singin'.  This fine looking group from Vestavia Hills High School, is an award winning jazz/doo-wap choral group.  Under the direction of Megan Rudolph, they sang in amazing harmony and with so much spirit and personality that they received a standing ovation.  They kindly let me photograph them after their performance.  They apologized for "Uncle John" being scantily attired.  Apparently his trousers were lost in route!  They did their best to make him "presentable"!! Take a bow kids, you are off to great places as Dr. Seuss would say.

What a fun time. I love their happy faces! Haha, poor Uncle John, caught with his britches off!

The group looks like they're pretty compatible and very energetic young people. Nothing like good music by musicians and singers who love the genre. Wednesday night must have been magic since we attended a concert that evening, too. Check out my blog on Decembe 11th. Have a good day and great week-end!!

They are so beautifully presented and smiley. Their mothers should be so proud of them..
And, yes, you win. My Wednesday was taken up with writing cards..

So, is this really Uncle John's Band? Can you count them in your 100 strangers tally? Those kids just radiate energy.

You have to give the recipe on how you made these happy faces smile, all at the same time...
On Wednesday I was trying my best to fit four little kids in the frame of my camera. To make them smile will be part of the next shoot!

These happy kids were a breeze to photograph, Therese. It's the little ones that are hard. Good luck.

Knox, No I won't count them as 100 Strangers but I the thought did cross my mind!

You are all correct, a fine looking group of young people and talented as well.

I used to sing in what we called "Show Choir" when I was in HS. It was quite fun and I always enjoyed the round of holiday performances at retirement homes, malls and the like. I'm glad these kids have a good teacher to motivate them and bring out their best! Bravo!

You put me in the sin bin on wednesday night so I had no fun whatsoever unlike this cheery band of youngsters.

I'd have loved to have heard these kids. Jazz? Do-wop? Count me in. Did they do a lot of standards?
