Waiting - December Theme Day

Waiting......for what???

Today my CDPB friends from all around the globe ( that gets smaller every day) are putting their spin on the theme..........waiting. I had a hard time making up my mind, which is not unusual. My friend Bob Crowe moved me "off my dime" yesterday afternoon and declared this my entry. Here you have it. Want to give your caption to this photo? Go on and have your say!!!

Love the photo, the atmosphere, the light on those paintings/photographs. I can't quite see if he's got a book or a laptop on the table or just has his head in his hands so it's hard to caption it. I 'think' he's reading? Will come back later and see if you tell us. If not, perhaps i need to buy a new pair of glasses!!

Waiting for someone I guess and Virginia toutes mes félicitations pour cette très belle photo. La lumière est parfaite. I wish I could capture a moment like that one day.
Your picture is my favorite for this month's theme day.

Title: "Dear John": Looks to me like this young man is dejected and WAITING to see what the rest of "The Dear John" letter says!

Love Kate's! He's probably studying and waiting for the exams - who said I wasn't a realist...

Well, when I was that age I couldn't wait for a lot of things but it looks like he took a moment to "unwait". Wonderful sneaky shot, V.

Thanks to all of you for your great ideas. Actually he was having a beer and reading something like a textbook. How he could see to read is beyond me but he's a young man with better eyesight than mine! :) I love Theme Day, when I remember it. It's always so fun to see what you all came up with. I'm still getting through the portal and want to visit you all.
V

PS B2 I'll help you remember.......if I remember.:)

This gentleman is pretending to read but he's having a hard time concentrating because his girl friend said to wait for her in this coffee shop as she has something very important to tell him.

He's waiting, but the waiting is driving him nuts and he's gone over that same page 20 times and still doesn't have a clue what it says!

Wonderful theme day shot, V.

See, I told you. 22 comments to date. I barely broke into two digits, which is huge for me (is my approach to the blog to crusty for the mass audience?). The photos full of implications without giving away answers. I like that a lot.

Anyway, thank you for your comment on my oddball entry for the day, but now I'm kicking myself for not thinking of the obvious joke image for the theme: a picture of Vladimir and Estragon in some production of Waiting for Godot. Godot never showed up. Neither did my idea, at least in time.

Cafe Blues

There's my caption. splendid photo, mysterious and begs many questions.

Bob,
Bibi beat you to the Godot line. Yours was very innovative! No second guessing, that's my job!!!

Excellent capture - and one that begged to be black and white. Color would not have captured the mood nearly so well.
