Is a quarter the same as 25c? This seems remarkably cheap for a parking meter. Outside where I am learning Bridge, the meters are rated at $4.40 per hour.
Hah - only realised when I enlarged the image to read the fine print, that you have made it sepia. Very fitting.
The sepia works very well in this. I like the advice: Drive safely, Out of sight....You see reminders not to leave stuff in the car in practically every car park here. It's good advice not to leave your bag on show even if you are in the car as someone will try to steal it. It's a sad world.
That's such a classy shot. Sometimes sepia really works out better for a shot than monochrome, and knowing when to choose the image is again what makes a photographer.
Can I reqest Creek Alley? I'll ket you olay the tambourine if I can ppinch Mama's Cass's vocals. Not often I want to be a big girl but I'd beef up for her voice.

When I was little, my favorite thing about shopping downtown was feeding the meter! Of course, then it was probably a dime and I was too short to reach it without help! Thanks for the memory trip.

The simplicity of this photo appeals to me. Everytime I see a parking meter, I recall the opening scene to Cool Hand Luke.
A relic of the past! Around here, the individual meters are being replaced by electronic debit card taking gizmos located in the center of the block.

Here in my little beach town it take 6 quarters to park for an hour currently … soon to be 8. How timez change.
