The Calm..........

The Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Vestavia Hills shortly before the 4Kers blew through the door for their program rehearsal.

A gentle storm, though. Imagine if it was a bunch of lawyers. The top image is very peaceful. I often enjoy the while wall, clear window church look, compared to the Catholic overload I grew up with.

By the way, thank you so much for all the comments on the Tibet pictures on Flickr! I'm honored.

Bob,
I feel the same way about this church. As much as I love my own church with it's rich dark wood and magnificent stained glass windows, the light and simplicity of this church is aways refreshing and peaceful to me. They have a terrific kindergarten by the way!!!! And your photos from Tibet/Nepal are so outstanding I only wish I could have commented on every one of them.

Diederick,
Surely this package won't get "lost" as well! Now I'm beginning to worry. Too soon perhaps? Have a successful trip!

Bibi,
Maybe I need to put myself in the "sin bin" that is usually reserved for Babooshka! LOL

Bratt, Ciel
Merci!!

Lene, photoChip, Sylvia,
Welcome to my blog. Thanks for your nice comments. Come again!

One of the things I appreciate about church is how hard everyone works with the children. I've seen scenes like this so many times and I never tire of it especially all the little girls with the bows in their hair.

Paula,

Two very good, and very different, shots.

I love these two shots....good caption too.

Fun and funny shots. Well, the first one especially is a class b&w...so very nice. The second one captures well all that pent up energy and nervousness inherent in young 'un's...

These are delightful, V.

I'll have to tell Monastery Daily PHoto about this one. We kind of have a Sacred Sunday tradition where we post houses of worship. These photos are lovely from the calm to the ENERGY!
