I Can Hear You Now!

My longtime readers will recognize this sweetie patootie. Yes, this is Lilly and now she's a big two year old. I first photographed her here , and then last year we took some photos before her first cochlear implant here. Well now she's had her second surgery and oh my goodness! That girl can talk up a storm now , and as my grandmother would say, "She's smart as a whip!" Monday we had another photo shoot. The top photo was my favorite and the second one is pretty special too. Lilly spotted my Eva and pointed to the spot next to her on the step and said, "Sit!" Eva did as told. They are now BFF, and Lilly shed a few tears when Mom Lisa put her in the car to go home. Oh and by the way, Lilly has a message for all of you out there.......WAR EAGLE!! I told you she was smart! :)

And if you want to keep up with Lilly's progress and her shenanigans, you guessed it.... she has a blog! How can I compete with that???

My little finger (my little thumb in English?) tells me this miss has a strong personnality!
Your Eva still is a beauty.

Oh, Lilly's portrait is priceless. I do love the kind and indulgent expression on your pretty Eva's face.

I am always so happy to see/her (!) that a child has been helped by modern technology. Hearing loss is devastating to a child, whose speech of course cannot properly develop.

Lovely photos, both of them.

Love it! They are BOTH adorable!

Virginia, these are such strong portraits of children. The gentle exchange between the two girls in the second shot makes me smile in every chamber of my heart.

Very cute. I hope the Tide rolls off a cliff. We despise Saban in these parts. Have a wonderful holiday!

A very smart young lady. Both children are precious. Tell Lilly she needs to change the color of her hair ribbon to orange and blue! WAR EAGLE !!

B2,
Well I am LOL at your comment. I'll probably be bombarded by irrate fans. I'll send them to your blog! :)

Fish,
I'm sure that was an oversight on her Momma's part!

Brattcat,
Don't you just love Lilly's hand on Eva's leg? She just loved her!

The Youngbloods,
Thanks so much.

Patricia,
Indeed it is a miracle that she hears so well now.

Alice,
Now I've not heard the little finger/thumb but have heard " a little bird told me".

Tash,
Eva is such a dear sweet child. Lilly couldn't take her eyes off of her. She made a great photographer's asst.!

Although the first portrait is nice, I really like the second picture. It looks like these two little girls are sharing an important secret. You really do know how to capture people well!

In French, we say "mon petit doigt m'a dit..." ("my little finger told me..."). I don't know where I've found this little thumb, in a dark forest full of ogres maybe, ha ha!

Check out the outer garments on these pups! Eva is all Coco Chanel and Lilly is all Bama cowgirl. I'm positive they're sharing shopping bargain tips. '~)

Paula,
Actually Eva is sporting Paris almost from head to toe. Lilly was so stylin". I wanted that great skirt but I think it would make my .......look big! She's just the easiest subject any photographer has ever had.
