Autumn in Birmingham or in Paris??

This is first on both of my blogs. Today I feature very similar photographs from Birmingham and Paris. I appreciate the similarities between the two places I love the most. Is it Euro Birmingham or Southern Paris? Want to guess?

Bonjour Virginia! In my opinion, the first one must be American (these bricks don't seem Parisian to me). And the second one could have been taken in a museum, in le Marais, with a name beginning by "C"... But I can be totally wrong!

First thing that comes to mind is, like Alice, the Musee Carnavalet for photo #2.

NO matter where, both photos are fall-ish!

What a BEAUTY! Is that place right out of the fairy tales? Thanks for sharing this wonder!

I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that B'ham is the undiscovered gem of the South.

difficult to guess !

Ah, a poser. You create tension in my mind...I'd say the first is Birmingham and the second, Paris...

But whatever, both gorgeous autumnal photos!

Certainly I agree with the opinion that the first should be Birmingham and the second Paris - or both are Birmingham which is perhaps more likely. Those windows don't look quite right for Paris. I await being told I'm wrong.

The photos on Monte Carlo, Virginia, were taken on October 7. Mostly olives which are evergreen - or ever blue of course.

Our Virginia creepers change colour tho and then then fall, like yours.

Mumsie,
Tried to post earlier, but guess it didn't go through! Do I get a prize if I can tell you EXACTLY where one of the pictures was taken?! Or is your presence in my life gift enough!? I think so!

It's the Bham.

Alice, Oui mon amie, the bottom photo is the gorgeous Musée Carnavalet in le Marais district of Paris.

Jennifer knows exactly where the top photo is because she lives right above that arch in my daughter Melissa's guest house!

I found it so interesting that the same vine ( Virginia Creeper) adorns buildings here and in Paris. Another reason to love both cities.

Merci everyone for your guesses and hope you enjoyed the tale of two cities.

Now how the heck are we supposed to figure that out? No context, no clues. I'm going with Birmingham - my guess is that you shoe it in the garden on the same day as yesterday's post.

OH BOB,
Have I ever ever shot in the same place twice???? Of course not!!! :) And you have been to Paris enough to know the Musée Carnavalet! You lose! :)

The brickwork gave away that the first photo was not Paris. My Virginia Creeper is still green with touches of red but soon will start to lose its leaves. I love it summer and winter.
