on autumn and I have a few more photos I want to share before I have to say, "Au revoir automne!" This is what I saw as I left the museum last week. I just loved the great orange tree as the background for the black and white checkerboard of the sculpture. I'm including the "front" taken about a year ago when Eva and Davis and I paid a quick trip to the museum.
A reminder: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, a wonderful exhibit from the Yale University Gallery, now showing at our BMA through January 10th. Don't wait and have to stand in line to see it!!!!
Super cool, the contrast is amazing! Great capture! Wish we had such reds around here... there is only one vine, as far as I know... Also love your new b&w profile photo, V.!
Maybe it's just my eyes (have an appointment with the eye doctor for the end of the week, but the sculpture seems to be moving, am having trouble taking it in, all the black & white squares keep shifting around on me... maybe I better stop drinking too... ;-)

I like the checkered pattern against the fall leaves!

Will you add mine.
Thanks
I saw the exhibit early this time. I'm one of those who wait until the end and wind up in a crowd. It was great.
This works beautifully, V. It is such a bold, bright, exuberant image! Excellent catch.
Without this incredible background this very original sculpture would have been less impressive.
P.S. L'étoile (singular)/les étoiles (plural) :-)
MAD!!!
The tree certainly provides a dramatic backdrop.
Funky contrasts!

Nothing like going out in a blaze!
What a shot. It makes me dizzy looking at it. I know, I'm dizzy anyway, but this made me even dizzier. Or maybe the word is ditsy?
had to return for more redness goodness
