The Tiny Fingers

of a newborn are perfect in every way, and what fun to be the photographer!  This little angel (just 28 hours old!)  is the baby daughter of some very special friends. My friend Wayne says I 'm being "all mushy" or was it "gushy"?  Guilty as charged, W.  All together now...Aaaaawwwwww!

Kissy, Kissy!

A Wonderful Surprise For Me Yesterday :  My friend Barbara from Paris Talks, phoned me from Paris and we had a wonderful chat reminiscing about our tour in November together, and my upcoming trip in May.  Merci Barbara pour l'appel de téléphonique de Paris!*
*Merci to my French teachers from Avignon and Larchmont!

OMG, V! You almost brought tears to my eyes looking at these photos. The birth of a baby is always one of those special moments in our lives ... and you captured it so well in these photos. Look at those tiny fingers, and that peaceful sleep ... and the affection she received from her sister ....

Eki,
Thanks so much. I had a feeling you'd like these.

Olivier, Laurie and JM, you are always so kind. Merci!

Peter,Give me a call!! I'd love to chat with you! I still have your number with my passport. Won't leave home without it! :)

Halcyon, I almost have it translated!

Wayne, If I'd told you there were babies here today you would have run for the hills. A little trickery never hurts..

Wayne does make me laugh! I like these studies of yours best. It's not as easy as it looks to capture the reality without being overly sentimental but that's were your strength is in striking the perfect balance. Reminds me of your hands series and the "little feet" you showed in the early days. Perfect series- wouldn't change a thing.

Aaaaaaaah.... now if it was a puppy!

Virginia, will update Postcards after Monday on the Girls. Mia due for sterilisation on that day. Mistral done, as you know. Beau's ear op didn't work. That's it in a nutshell. But much more on blog. Sorry, I should have written. Hope to take more pics over weekend...although rain forecast I seem to think. Thanks so much for asking and your concern.

Oh those pursed lips, those tiny fingers, you're so good at capturing those precious details Virginia.

Congratulations to the parents for this beautiful baby of theirs.

And may I comment on the last bit?
French lesson of the day: "téléphonique" is an adjective, not a noun. So you can't say "thanks for le téléphonique", you'd have to say "merci pour l'appel téléphonique" (the phone call). Does that make sense?
Cheers

Congratulations to the new parents.
The 3 pictures are just perfect.
love that little fist...
and the sisters'kiss..
but that last one is drop dead gorgeous...
Reminds me of the way my aunt wanted me to talk...:
"By pursing your lips and not moving the mouth too much You won't get to many wrinkles"!!

My Dear French Teachers,
If you only knew how much time I spent on that comment. I used my French/English DIct. and thought I had phone call correct!!! I should have listened to Babelfish for once! Merci for correcting me. I won't ever learn if you don't. Now I must wait for my French Teacher from Arradon to weigh in as well! :)
