Winter In Birmingham Part II - Two Things Challenge: New/Hope

Today's another twofer.  Continuing my mini series featuring Birmingham's winter look and combining the Two Things Challenge.  The challenge this week is New / Hope and for once I am beating the deadline!  I think today's photos all illustrate new growth and the hope of things to come in the spring.  As I have noted previously,  Birmingham's weather during the winter months can be  irratic,  and we often have unseasonably warm days which causes some premature blooming here and there. I hope you enjoy these prespring show-offs today!

The top photo particularly appeals to me because of the delicacy of the small white bloom.

Lovely flora shots! I really like the blured background on the 1st one.

Call me psychic. I was convinced I had read you were up to 200 but after reading your comments on mine.... Happy 200TH. My 300th is soon, but not quite yet and I recall my 2 was roughly your 1. Very creative take on the challenge. New growth is always a welcome sight.

These are all perfect for the challenge. Niothing says New and Hope more than spring buds, even in winter!

I'm gonna have to get my thinking cap on for next weeks challenge. D.C has "persuaded" me to join in!

What with that and 100 Strangers my brain will be mush!

Congratulations. It takes real dedication to get to this point. The quality of your work grows and grows.

Looks like pre-spring in B'ham already. I may become as envious of you as Julie in Sydney.

Could we use the word "bellflowers" for your second picture which is really beautiful and "two" for two hundred going for three hundred hidden at the back.
