Zoom, Zoom , Zoom!

I might just have a new heartthrob!

I'll venture my photographs today will attract the most men  that have ever visited this blog !! Oh you guys , ( and probably a fair number of ladies),  would love this place.  Welcome to Ted's Garage.  My high school friend Ted, needed a place to house some of his vintage cars,  and the next thing we knew,  he and his wife Debby had created not only a wonderful museum of sorts, but a fabulous place to throw a party!  Since I was last there for a reunion event,  Ted has amassed a considerable number of new "old" cars.  He has his own shop where the cars are worked on and spiffed up and offers storage and restoration services to other vintage car enthusiasts.   And what amazes me, he is comfortable with having folks poke around and drool all over his "babies". This was nostalgic for me as I recognized a few special cars from my childhood and some, like this snazzy Corvette that brought back some fine memories as well.  Don't worry, I have more photos to share in the future!

Here' s lookin' at you !

Well, here I am, your first commenter and a woman at that! I'm not a particular fan of old cars, but I can understand the love that people have for them. I am also sentimental about a (black) Corvette... :<)

Oh Bibi, I think you are the first of many that may have some very special memories attached to these fine old cars. I can't wait to hear them all today! These are my favorite posts!

Both the cars and the music take me on a trip down memory lane...I can actually remember when cars had running boards and those little orange hand thingys that popped out when you wanted to indicate...wonderful photos..

Oh Virginia, this light again...! Yes, I agree, these old cars really attract my eye too. We have some fans here too. (this garage seems to be so clean! You could eat on the floor!)

What a great way to clutter up a garage! I can't wait to see the rest, especially if the collection includes any 1960s Mustangs! :)

The other Birmingham, mine in the UK is famous for many things, one the car industry which has sadly been destroyed. I'm sure I have pic somehere of a smiliar or even the smae car bonnet(ok hood) somewhere. I will have to root that out. I want James Bond car with Connery at the wheel. Enough said.

Email me about the Fracne jaunt. I'm condiering going into teaching photography online or in person. Don't know what our plans are but if we were that way I would definitely stop by. You do know I'm interefere don't you.

I think we will speak in a different way about cars in a few years from now but I must recognize that cars can be beautiful...
Your Nr 2 picture looks mysterious ready to unveil something.

Cool photos! Every man's dream, I guess.

Hey, shouldn't today's Tune du Jour be "Little Deuce Coupe"? Just sayin...

Snap, surely you aren't asking me the year! No clue but it definitely is in that era! I knew you would love it!

Alice, the place is immaculate. Since it's an event venue they have some cool posters and vintage signs etc too.

Very cool! I used to collect model vintage cars when I was a kid but, I guess this is the adult version. Invite me next time there is a party! I won't show you up!

No fast food wrappers on the floor of these babies.

Marie-Noyale already gave you the "vroom vroom"!

Oh, how I dreamt about an MG in the 60's! Never had one! :-(

It's a male fantasy car, all right, and very well depicted. I can't be sure, but I doubt that many women have fantasy cars. I got that out of my brain 20 years ago when I had a bottom-of-the-line Porsche for awhile. Turns out it was a really dumb idea.

So Peter and M-N, is the translation Vroom Vroom in français as well??? I looked and looked. I think this was a "trick" HA Peter, I didn't have an MG or anything with 4 wheels! Sigh

Bob,
I never had that kind of car envy but may not have been the "norm" for girls back then.
